Love looks like: Celebrating Well

Everyone likes to succeed and it is even more valuable when other celebrate with you. Society celebrates “larger” milestones according to their own perception. But what if we celebrated the victories we achieve each day?

A friend of mine posted a picture the other day of her with her sister. In the caption she was celebrating her sisters achievement of graduating high school and getting into a top school for good grades and to play basketball. Delighted, I began to marvel and image where she’d end up and the great things she’ll set out and accomplish. And as I thought I was inspired and by the love my friend publically expressed for her sister. It helped me understand the magnitude of such an accomplishment. The value of that day may not be fully realized until hindsight is 20-20, but as a culture of celebration is cultivated, true value will be realized. Celebrating is not a frivolous practice; it is encourages the one who has achieved and inspires those joining in the celebration.

Zachariah 4:10 says, “Do not despise the day of small beginnings.”

Each step every day is a victory in the right direction on the path to Destiny. Some things are to be celebrated more for one person than another, because their struggle was greater. As you and others make their mark along the path fully enjoy the moment and value it for what it’s worth.

What will you do to celebrate well this week?
